Kevin Doidge

Kevin is the First Gardener at Inverewe Garden in Poolewe. He and his family moved to the area in 2018, when his children were five and two years old and they are currently at Poolewe Primary School.

He understands the importance of having spaces like Slattadale for use by school children and how they can help with the appreciation of the natural environment.

Before he moved into horticulture, Kevin trained as an ecologist and spent many years working as a botanical surveyor, and also as volunteer warden for a NNR and SSSI in Cambridgeshire.

Kevin is looking forward to using his skills and experience to work toward the goal of creating an outdoor learning facility for local schools’
